Congratulations to Crystal, our November Employee of the Month!

 Crystal first joined Canyon in March 2022 and was fortunate to return in March 2025. As a Marketing Liaison, she brings a unique blend of creativity, empathy, and professionalism to everything she does. Drawn to Canyon’s mission of genuine care for people and communities, Crystal appreciates being part of a team that values both compassion and excellence. She especially loves the culture of trust and innovation — where leadership encourages new ideas that make a positive impact for patients, families, and communities.

For Crystal, the most rewarding part of her work is the opportunity to listen. Each day, she hears the stories of those who love and care for others most, offering comfort and clarity during moments of uncertainty. Her dedication recently led her to create a memory care training curriculum that fulfills Arizona Department of Health Services requirements — an accomplishment that has allowed her to teach over 2,000 staff members across the state.

Outside of work, Crystal finds joy and balance at her parents’ cabin in Nutrioso, where she spends time with her large, lively family of seven siblings, twenty-three nieces and nephews, and four grand-nieces. Between quad rides, shooting, and “bowling-ball croquet” in the woods, it’s her favorite way to unplug and recharge. Fun fact: Crystal and her husband, who both share a background in musical theater and a love for working with seniors, had the Sun City Poms perform at their wedding — a moment she’ll never forget. And when it comes to her favorite meal? Tacos, of course — comforting, messy, and delicious every time.
